Forgive my rudeness of not writing you all back sooner, just been busy. I REALLY appreciate all the p.m.'s and concern that has been shown to a noob. I am tricking the trike out with extenders and straps and bigger platform pedals. I took it out today and did my lap in one setting instead of taking a break. IT FELT GOOD. Little knee pain and out of breathe , but, that let's me know I AIN'T DEAD YET. Peace and Blessings

How long a lap? A block? A mile? God is in the details.

BTW, a block the first time out is good. Or at least longer than I managed the first time.

Right now it's a mere 500 ft. But, the journey of 1000 miles has to start somewhere, lol.

Outstanding! Yes, you are right, the journey has to start somewhere. As time goes, you will build stamina, and soon, you won't believe the changes in your life.

Well done! We all have to start where we are. Do tell us how the next ride goes.

And it happens quite fast Ray! Last week I started my morning ride. I would get at 2K, stop 3.5 K stop. It was at a good pace but none the less. Now I get abot 5K before I have to stop. I need a drink and strangly I'm not comfortable drinking on the fly. I used to be but I dunno? Maybe it the bike config. But Anyhow I stop for a drink!

Keep it up and Keep it off!

My first lap was my 400' driveway - fast forward to now, longest ride for me is 20 miles!

My first 30 minutes on the stationary after my TKR was in four chunks - with 5-7 minute breaks (resistance set at ZERO), now I pedal non-stop at a resistance of four (out of 16), and I can even talk at the same time...

Baby steps (to me) is the answer to a real life change. In my mind, less chance for back-sliding or failure!

Have been talking to my brother about maybe putting a bike on his truck... he says - I walk my dog - I say, for 30+ minutes, he says, no my ankles hurt too much... You give me hope for my brother!
