looks just like a Pake to me.

Actually, I just noticed the file name of the image on the eBay listing is 'pakeframe2'. Not bad for 150 bucks.

That's quite the deal, I'd pull the trigger if I had extra cash lying around.

i think id rather save up an extra $50 and get a kilo frame. Pakes are notoriously heavy

Pakes are notoriously heavy
So are Madisons (and I love mine).
You're right though. The world needs more Kilo TTs.

I'll testify to that. My pake is definitely heavier than my older bike. It's not a dramatic difference though.

eh, plus $30 shipping? For the twenty dollar difference its hard to justify this over the kilo (which comes with a crowned fork). But then again if you care about your forum rep that much, everyone and their brother owns a kilo on here.

Laziness, or mad marketing sense?

The auction listing pretty much sums it up for anyone realizing it looks like a Pake without actually saying the name 'Pake'.
Ah, whatever...I just figured I'd post it in case anyone was looking for a decent, inexpensive frameset that isn't a BD bike.

I want a kilo frame too though I also want a scrambler... and I just got a 2005 monocog (had to snag it, would have been stupid not to) the other day so looks like ill need to wait a bit longer for the new track frame...

One plus that I noticed in the Crosslake (Pake?) over the Kilo TT is that it uses a standard 27.2mm seatpost instead of the Kilo's oddball 26.8mm seatpost. One reason I bought a Kilo WT is that it's a different frame from the Kilo TT, and uses a 27.2mm seatpost, which in the end allowed me to get the style seatpost I wanted (Velo Orange Grand Cru). Still, I'm sure the Kilo TT outsells the Kilo WT many times over, since it's perceived as being much cooler.
Oh, BTW, the eBay auction is over and the Crosslake (Pake?) did not sell.

They've got more. Lots of sizes too.
yeah, i choose my frames by the seatpost size too.
this is a great deal for a frame if you want to build a frame up as cheaply as possible... but i don't think it's even worthy of beater bike status. i have never been impressed by pakes. the tubing is so boring, and you get water bottle bosses(hose clamps work well in place of these) but no fender or rack eyelets(not so much here). doesn't make sense to me.

Whats wrong with water bottle bosses?

Not everyone needs fender or rack mounts.
nothing. but i'd rather have fender eyelets.

^ I know, right? Hate to say it Nate, but your frame is made of material that you won't find very entertaining.
My frames don't get up and dance an occasional softshoe dance or sing me songs either (and my Madison doesn't even have rack mounts). I guess we should reconsider how much we like our bikes.

I want a frame that has awesome, crazy, wild stories and tells hilarious dirty jokes. That way I can bring it with me to bars and we'll be the life of the party
