Looking for some advice,
I am just starting out on doubles and I just completed the Davis Double in 15:45 total time with 12:33 of riding time.
At the end I definitely was done, probably after a rest I could have gone further…

I do a lot of hill climbing on a regular basis for training, so I feel OK with them. The day after the Davis Double I felt strong enough to go on a 40mil ride (to watch Amgen) which consisted of a bunch of hills… I was surprised I still had leg’s and could push hard.

I am wondering if this forum felt I would do OK on the Eastern Double.

I think you'll be fine. If you've done one double you're already over the biggest mental hurdle. The next one has more climbing, but most of it is in the first half, so you'll still be relatively fresh. As long as you keep a reasonable pace (resist the urge to go too hard too early, especially on the climbs) I don't see any problems.

You get 18 hours. I doubt the extra climbing will add 2 hours to your last ride. You had a lot of off-bike time, so cut down on that and you could definitely stay in the 15:45 range.

You'll do fine at ESD. It does have more climbing, but I don't think they are as steep as some of the climbs at Davis, Cobb Mountain.

Funny, I have almost the exact same statistics from Davis this year (Garmin Track - http://connect.garmin.com/activity/33416378 ) , and am signed up for ESD in two weeks.
Looking at the elevation profile on mapmyride, it looks to be much gentler grades, just more miles of them. I'm thinking of leaving at the 4:00 am start so I don't hammer it going out, but other then watching myself with the altitude should be fine.
