I'm slated to do a metric century this coming weekend as an MS Society fundraiser -- but the forecast is for rain. This is my first fundraising ride -- and it looks like it'll be my first rain ride.
I know the ride happens rain or shine. I can bring gear to deal with the rain -- but I'd love to hear from folks who have been on these sorts of rides before what special precautions to keep in mind. After all, I'm completely unfamiliar with the area (the ride is in Maryland, and I live in Philadelphia); I'm worried about missing turns, getting hit by lightning, etc.
Also: suggestions on how to keep rain off my glasses would be appreciated!
