Mountain Biking - Giant Yukon Geometry

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I know this might be a tough ask but I am interested in knowing the geometry specs of a 23" Giant Yukon. I have searched Giant's website and the only reference I can find is that the frame is a ALUXX oversized 6061 Aluminum and the XL is 23". Giant also does not seem to have an email listed so I cannot email them. I'm not sure if it is available but does anyone know where I can find this out over what is now our weekend?
thanks in advanced.
cheers
Well my husband has a Giant Yukon but it is not an XL....
I can give you the number to the store he bought it from... they probably have some in stock and can measure or tell you whatever you need to know.

Hi Xta,
Thanks for the response and the phone number. If I cannot find the dimensions on the net I will revert to calling a store. I was hoping that the exact specs would be posted somehow, somewhere.
cheers,
By the way, great picture it looks like it was shot for a magazine!
Thanks....I love photography although I think this shot could have used some work....better backdrop (and then there is the web loss of quality so you don't have to wait so long for it to load up) Here is a better photo (not bike related) of my bearded dragon!

Nice shot. I like the colour variation.
With respect to your camera, are taking the shot with a film camera or a digital. To my eye it looks like a scanned picuture but I would be interested to know.
cheers,
You would be right! So far I have not stepped into the digital realm. I love my 35mm. I would like a digital camera but to get the shots I want, it would be a very expensive one-- and I'm still not sure I would be happy with it. For convenience sake alone not to always have to scan my photos, I will eventually get one!

At the moment there is still quite a difference between film and digital cameras. I find that digitals still cannot replace what I call the emotional response you get from using a film camera. Maybe its the sound of the shutter or the whirr of the auto focus on an SLR. Quality is also an issue.
Digital is convenient but it still has a ways to go. I can store 200+ hi resolution shots using the 340 Meg IBM microdrive (and thats the low capacity drive). I think in 10 years time (if not before) digital will be the main type of camera in use. Quality will improve and prices will continue to drop. Sharing and showing pictures via the net will be all to easy as well.
Judging from your second picture, I can see you take care in your photography. Maybe you should consider a public gallery on a website. I had one at a site called Photopoint to show family and friends my travel shots but they eventually went broke and I never got round to putting up another.
cheers,
I belong to several forums...including a couple reptile related ones that I post the photos in. Lizards are my preferred subject, alhtough if I had the money/time I would take a lot more varied photos. I just can't keep up with the processing and scanning! (this is where digital would be nice) but you are right, digital grain and film grain are not the same!!! I have worked in video on and off and went to film school (there is nothing so exciting as shooting on real film as opposed to video..it's expensive and scary and very rewarding) And the sound of mechanical parts versus electronic parts just cannot be described. Neither film nor video shows true reality but film is a better alternate reality than video in my opinion. Video is so harsh. Ironically I now work in computer graphics/animation which is cool but not beautiful.

Working in a creative field must be rewarding. I have often thought that it would be the highest fulfilment in a profession.
Interesting that your preferred photography subjects are lizards. They are truly unique creatures.
cheers,
