Hi Everyone

My name is Jacqueline and I am a Bicycle Tour Guide working in London. I joined bikeforums.net to meet some people with similar interests. I am particularly interested in meeting anyone who shares my love of Bromptons, the great British folding bike. We use these bikes on all our tours as they are made right here in London and as we use boats on some of our tours, very handy to fold up. For anyone who is not sure what a brompton bike looks like, check out this link - http://www.brompton.co.uk/

I personally feel like you would be hard pushed to find a bike with more character than the Brompton. People in London love them, but I am keen to see how widespread their following actually is.

In Toronto, Canada they aren't that common, so far this spring I think I've seen one brompton and the rest are dahons and a few no names when it comes to folders. It's rarely seen here because for the price of one you can easily buy 3 dahons with it that's just as capable except in the folding department were the brompton rules in. Heck I ride a strida and I think i'm the only one in the neighbourhood with it cause i'm weird that way.

I really like Bromptons for city riding. I have a Bike Friday that is one of my road bikes. If I lived in a city with a subway, or on a boat, I'd get a Brompton or a Tikit. Nice bikes, those Bromptons.
