I think a little high in spite of the apparent nice mix of components (which are also of an earlier vintage than this mid-80s frame). if you're lightweight, and you just love the flexy ride of a classic aluminum Vitus, it might be worth it to you...and we have to consider that it IS in California, even tho SLO isn't exactly the highest priced market in the state. I'd offer less (maybe 500 cash if you're absolutely in lust for it), if he doesn't accept, let him take it to eBay and see what he gets...while you look for a better deal.
