Hey folks, I am new to bikeforums and am loving it. Short history, I purchased a Beistegui Hermanos to replace a Schwinn while in the USN during the '80's. Fell in love with it and rode all over Europe. In 1990 the bicycle was stolen while away on a ski trip, never recovered (the local police and bike shops had never heard of the brand at that time). I quit riding, several years later wanted to ride again, but with a young family, I couldn't afford that level of bike. My parents bought me a used Trek 360, it has Sugino and Suntour components. Did not have the same ride and didn't really ride it much. I am now planning on riding again and would like more info on the 360 (quality, value, performance, etc.). I have checked Vintage-Trek and there is very little info on the 360. Any comments are greatly appreciated.

There is very little info on the 360, because it was made only for one year, 1988. Double butted chromoly true temper frame and cromoly fork and stays. Has identical sports touring geometry with the 400. Mid-level Accushift index shifting. A very nice all around bike and the quality is Trek quality which is great.

The Vintage Trek site is perhaps the best single brand vintage site out there. Lists everything from the serial numbers, to individual annual catalogs and more. I'd go back and look at the 1988 catalog on that site. It has a full detailed spec page, along with a page of the catalog dedicated to that model, and even detailed frame geometry specifications. All in all, that's about as good as it gets out there for manufacturer's info on vintage bikes. The 360 has typical Trek quality, lower end of the product line, with Suntour mid grade components.

I've got a Trek 360 and its a nice bike. Suntour GPX components are solid and some of the best-looking components made. The grey and silver is nearly identical to the Shimano 600 components of the same age.

The rear triangle has a bit of flex going on, but it's nothing terrible. Nice fork, Columbus tubing made by Spinner.

We're two of only a handful! By the way, what color? Mine is a wonderful yellow.
