Track Cycling: Velodrome Racing and Training Area - Suggestions for outlets to sell my track bike

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I'm trying to find the best outlet without going to Ebay to sell my track bike (07 Felt TK2) as a team member is giving me a great deal on his bike, which is somewhat of an upgrade. I would rather someone get it who will actually use it for track. Any recommendations where I can move it relatively quickly to a good home?

It's on there. Since there is a good Velodrome in Indy, I was hoping it might see more play, but CL seems not to be the best outlet for moderate/good bike stuff, at least specialized use equipment. I might get lucky with the hipster SS crowd. I have it on fixedgearfever, so hopefully that will work a little better.
In the end, if it doesn't sell I am fortunate enough to have a hell of a track bike. Keeping it for a couple seasons probably is a better move than an impulse buy.

This isn't necessarily CL kosher, but try listing it in Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Louis as well. They all have velodromes, and some trackster is bound to see it.
I think I saw your listing on CL, something along the lines of "please just lie to me and say you're going to use it for track cycling"?

it's a 54cm, but have actually decided to keep it. A teammate had a bike that I was interested in, but I was able to actually stop an impulse buying decision for once.
Maybe a bulletin board at the local velodrome if you ever decide to pull the trigger on a purchase ? The county parks we have here, some also have gun ranges, I've seen people that want to move a firearm just the same, so they put up a flyer with tags at the bottom with a phone number contact.
