I just picked up this Dunelt Paramount single speed bike made in England. Everything is really solid on it. The 28 x 1 3/8" rims are still nice and shiny. The bottom bracket is good and both the front and rear hub and coaster brake are in solid working order as well. I just need to remove the old saddle and replace it. I cannot seem to find much info about this particular bike. Anyone have any idea as to when it was made?

Pretty sure it's a Raleigh made Dunelt from the early/mid 60's. Great balance and ride quality on these bikes. Here's a similar Supercycle of that period.

Thanks for you input. I have read on the net that Raleigh was manufacturing Dunelts for awhile in the 1950's & 60's. I figured it might be from that era. From the little I have ridden it I'd have to agree it has a nice ride and is well balanced. Right now I am trying to remove the ancient and torn saddle which is so rusty that the nuts and bolts are seized. The previous teenaged owners of this bike said that when they got it it also had fenders which they removed so it stands to reason it was probably originally similar looking to the Supercycle in your picture.
