Hi all,
I have a bike also with this part. Number of max. teeth are 34. When we bought I saw that there is no cable tension setting on it. (Also not on the other end of the cable) The question what can I do to set the the tension. If I buy a new one on that has the tension setting.
I look on Shimano internet site. There I can see something but on no photo picture can confirm
that there is such a screw.
Please tell me about your experiment.
By the way this is an opposite side deailleur.
thanks.

Some of Shimano's newer MTB rear derailleurs are made with out the cable tension adjusting barrels built in as there should be an adjuster built into the shift lever. If for some reason there isn't, you can add in-line cable adjusters quite cheaply.
