I'm confused about options for upgrading my wheels. I have Campy Veloce 8's. When I look at ads for new wheels they all list Shimano 9 compatible. Does this mean I can't use them? Is the spacing for Shimano 8 the same as Campy 8? If not, what can I do to use them?

I believe the throw for campy and shimano is different so they would not be compatible, I think you would have to get a new hub on your rear for this, and also a shifter change would be in order.

I've heard this question many times at the shop... The spacing betwin the gears are different, the tooths on the free hub(thats the part that hold the cassette on the hub) are different too. The gear's tooths are both the same. Conclusion it does'nt fit :[
