Hi everyone... I'm a longtime Trek 7.3FX hybrid rider from NJ - now living in Washington, DC. While I don't love the city, all the bike trails in the area have really given me a new appreciation for riding. I'm finally getting into some of the technical components of bikes, rather then just riding and getting the occasional tune-up. I'm also signed up for 2 triathlons this summer and have been training hard. I'm in the market for a good, used road bike to get more into road-biking, and then use for the Tri. Been reading this board for years - can't wait to be a bit more active!

Welcome Rob to Bike Forums.
Tris are interesting races.
Are you a good runner?

Thanks for the reply. I'd say I'm probably slightly above average for all three sports. I'm 5'11'' and weight 179, down 27 lbs over the last 5 months during endurance training, but have been battling overuse injuries. Ever attempt one?

Nope, I can't swim, bad back, can't run.
I have taken photos of friends in them.

Love the transition point for pics.

My word for Tris is "PAIN".....

How long have you been in DC? I really do love the city, and it took exploring by bike for that to happen. Get out in all parts of the city on your bike and it will amaze you.
