I have a pair of hope mono m4's on my bike. I have only recently bought it and it was shipped to me with the front wheel off (as to fit in the box) with piece of cardboard inbetween the pistons.

Anyway my rear brake if rub free however my front is not. I took the wheel off again and used playing cards while retracting the brake lever multiple times (gradually being able to fit more playing cards between the pistons) and the pads worked there way back. I put the wheel back on and no rubbing at all until I pressed the brake lever a couple of time and now I'm back to where I started.

When you spin the wheel round with your hands it goes round fine - doesn't really slow down but the rubbing sound is there yet I've heard people say that disk brakes are hardly ever drag free especially as these are not broken in yet. But when I start cycling normally you can really feel the resitence - quite suprisingly so.

Should I try the card trick again to see if it works? Anything else I could try?

thanks.
