Wind: 45 mph from the SSW

A High Wind Warning remains in effect until 7 PM MDT this
evening.

* Timing... strong winds will continue through the afternoon...
decreasing this evening.

* Winds... south to southwest winds of 35 to 45 mph will be common
with some gusts as high as 70 mph.

* Impacts... travel in lightweight or high profile vehicles will
be difficult at times... especially along east-west roads.
Visibilities could be reduced due to blowing dust.

I just want to attach a sail to my bicycle and see where it takes me.

I think my house might blow away.

I used to love extreme winds. We'd hook up 6 parafoil type kites, strap on skis (in the winter), and try to see who could get the most height off the jumps. Now I just worry about how many shingles are going to get blown off the roof :(

I miss racing sailboats in the spring. You have not lived until you are on a 25' sailboat blasting down wind under a spinnaker on full plane. Water flying everywhere and the potential for getting blown over always keeps you on edge. Really fun!
