General Cycling Discussion - Cateye Wireless minor help
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
This may be the wrong forum but I didn't think it fit in Electronics either. Pardon me if I am in error. I just put a Cateye wireless computer on my bike. The magnet on the spokes keeps turning on the spoke. I have it as tight as I think I can get it. Any tricks/ideas? Even when it turns it computer still works fine.

How about fitting a wee piece of duct tape to "fatten" the spoke?

It's not abnormal for the magnet to turn slightly if it gets bumped; as long as it's not hitting the sensor or slipping along the length of the spoke, it should still function correctly.
If yours is more problematic, remove the magnet and wipe the spoke clean with alcohol before remounting the magnet. If you can't seem to get enough grip on the magnet to tighten it securely, add a gentle nudge with pliers.
Thanks for the responses. Today it didn't move. Maybe I was irritated enough to give it that little extra bit to secure it.
