In my quest to build up a back wheel, I have given up trying to remove the lockring from my suntour 5 speed wheel.

Instead I picked up a Jalco GX460 from behind the local bike shops trash pile (why it was tossed in there I have no idea). I know I've read it isn't the best thing on the market, but it was free and in unused condition, no dents, scratches, stickers still fresh, true rolling, etc.

I'll need the axel and bearings for it, but it already has the cassette freehub, minus the cassette cogs.

So in order to make it a single speed, I am thinking of ordering this tonight:

Throw it on when it arrives, space it out properly, etc.

What say you? Do you think it'll work well with the wheel I found?
