I have a question, if Data ceased to be in "Star Trek: Nemesis" how did he make appearences in the "Star Trek Universe" future?

I gave up when the Klingons ended up on the same side as the Federation. As a former-very-occasional SFB player, I remain stuck in the old universe. :)

think multiverse...include the time continuum into that and you have a million options that can have overlap and exclude without the required explanations. It just is...
Perhaps it is/was not Data. Another sibling? Or did Lor (I think that was his name) find a way become a zombiedroid?

Those alternate realities always give me a headache.

DS9 throws a fork ball into that who's on who's side thing.

Star Trek Nemesis was far too crappy to be considered as canonical.

No matter, its still a part of the Star Trek universe. DS9 (I feel) was the biggest POS ever, most of what I saw of it just didn't seem to connect, but its still a part of the Star Trek universe.

I'll take DS9 over voyager any fricken day. :D
"The Universe" ended when TNG did.

In the prequel comic to the latest movie, they made reference to Data's being resurrected. (He was captain of Enterprise E, at that point.) My guess is that it has something to do with the uplink he had with B4, during Nemesis. At the end of the movie, B4 was shown exhibiting behavior Data was shown doing earlier in the movie.
DS9 was just a Babylon 5 rip off, but not nearly as well executed. I enjoyed Voyager, before we lost our UPN carrier.

Ding, ding, ding to Greyryder, who also remembers B4!

True.
There was only one good TNG movie.
All of the rest sucked.
I'm tempted to buy the entirety of TNG and voyager on BD, but not DS9.

Data, Star Trek>it does not compute. TOS is the star trek. They had real aliens writing the shows for them.

JMS originally shopped Bab5 at Paramount. They turned him down, and brought out DS9 before he was able to get B5 on the air. There are parallels between the two that are hard to ignore, including stuff that B5 got to broadcast first.
And yes, DS9 sucked. It's the only Trek series I've ever actually lost interest in.
"Trials and Tribblations" was awesome, though.

Yeah, I know, but does that make him Data?

Well, B4 had Data's memories, but his positronic brain was of lesser capabilities. I would call him Data light.

I love Star Trek but DS9 was probably my favorite series (well, after TNG). I started Voyager and couldn't get into it.
I think it's because I liked the mixing of science fiction and fantasy - probably the reason Battlestar Galactica (the recent one) is my favorite show ever.
Borg > TOS+TNG+Voyager+DS9+B5+Enterprise+Mt. Doom+Steve Jobs

Think the B4 bit is best explanation.
I thought the approach to the last movie was absolutely brilliant. Create an alternative instance of reality so that whatever is portrayed could be free from canonical connotations and enraged curmudgeonly fans.
