Been a biker all my life (since learning at the age of 4). Haven't been on a bike in a good 10 years, but wife decided she wanted us to get out more and 'approved' of my getting a bike. Funny, I wanted a bike 3 years ago, but there was concern for my safety when riding bike trails. But anyway, I went to the local Atlanta Cycling and found a nice hybrid - Trek 7200 FX and have been breaking it in - or should I say it's breaking me in. Fortunately we have a Hot Springs spa in the backyard to ease the soreness.

Since we are new empty-nesters (daughter's at UGA - go Dawgs!), we are looking at vacations and short trips where we can bring along our bikes for leisurely rides. First trip will be Callaway Gardens - nice 10 mile course). I look forward to asking lots of fun questions.

Great shop! I'll be there on Labor Day helping coordinate the Share the Road Century (http://www.atlantabike.org/share%20the%20road%20century.htm). Come on out and ride. ;)

We've been empty-nesters for a little over a year. Leisurely? What's that? I ride like hell. Well sorta. :o At 59 years of age my speed isn't the same as a 25 year old but I manage to pass some of the younger riders occasionally. :)
