Introductions - Greetings from the north-central mountains of PA

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

We live in a beautiful area but in a climate that is more Canadien than Pennsylvanian - lots of snow, long winters, wonderful but short summers, beautiful falls, almost constant cloud cover, lush green vegetation, lots of wildlife, seemingly never-ending hardwood forests . . . well, you get the picture.

Our family is becoming more health-conscious. We're changing our eating and exercise lifestyle. We've been walking for a few years now, but have fairly recently discovered the joys of biking. There is a lovely state park nearby, and with two bikes we've been riding around the 3-mile bike path. There are six in our family, and so we take turns riding and walking around the path.

The two bikes we have are both made by Giant. One is a Cypress and the other a Sedona. We're now looking for a bike for me - the two Giant bikes are women-specific - and a bike rack that can carry 4 bikes.

I'm glad to have found a site where our family can learn more about bikes and biking.

Many welcomes, Kuvasz! I live in SW PA, myself. It's good to have another Keystoner on board. :)
