...dark and early. This will be my longest tour to date, from the Dallas/Fort Worth area to Pacific coast in Humboldt County, CA. Waypoints include Amarillo, Raton NM, Salida CO, Steamboat Springs, CO, Vernal, UT Hinkley, UT, Reno, NV, Mt Lassen NP, Redding, CA, Humboldt Redwoods NP and Garberville, CA.
Mostly a road tour, but there are several long bits of gravel road on my proposed route as well as the plan to ride the Great Divide Mountain Bike Trail from Salida, CO to Steamboat Springs, CO.
If any of you feel like checking in from time to time, I plan to send text, locations and pics from my mobile to tourdedavid.blogspot.com, as phone service or wifi is available. I have Tmobile, so expect some biggish gaps here.
Anyway, thanks for all the input, especially Cyccommute and Jamawani. Your input is invaluable.
