I'm making a trip to New Bern, NC toward the middle of next week to visit some friends. I'm planning to take my bicycle along with me so i can do some rides. Does anyone know of good routes around the New Bern/Havelock area to ride? Also, which highways am i allowed to ride on and which am i not?

Not from New Bern or Havelock but I'll chip in, the major highway is 70. People Ride em but be prepared for the traffic. If you'd like a nice out and back flat ride head down to Fort Macon in Atlantic Beach and ride Highway 58 to Emerald Isle and back. or find a spot on Highway 24 and do an out and back. It's a four lane road with a decent shoulder for riding though. Wish I could be more help.
