Hi.
I am looking for a frame mostly for singlespeed and fixed gear cyclocross, but also want the option to add a derailleur to use the frame for touring. I was looking at the Surly Cross Check and the Vassago Fisticuff. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks.

If you can deal with long reach brakes instead of cantis that might open your options up. I have run cross tires (35's) with long reach brakes on my fixed gear on a cross course on a rainy day and it worked fine. Salsa casserole and masi speciale commuter just off the top of my head.

Cielo Cross (http://cielo.chrisking.com/bikes/cross-details/)

Or, if you just want something different, Swobo Crosby (http://www.swobo.com/catalog/product_info_b.php?cPath=201_1503).

Any frame you want with a White Ind hub or one of these I can vouch that the White Ind hub is very nice and indeed works. White's freewheels and splined fixed gear cogs are works of art.

There's a bit of a knack to adjusting the ENO hub correctly (just as there is with horizontal dropouts) but once you do it a couple times you're golden.

I also have a WI Eno and really like it but I am considering the eccentric BB method so I can run tubulars (well the ones I already have.) Also, I hate readjusting my brakes after a gearing change.
