Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Anyone have any more information on this? Was it an attempted mugging or something or was the cyclist the specifically targetted for other reasons?
Probably the same reason why I ever stab anyone, just plain ol' pissed off looking for a any innocent victim who happens to be close by.
I'm sure we could figure a way Bush was a fault

Maybe he was. We'll find something that's for sure! ;-)
Speaking of bike crimes, a couple of miles away from me, there were two victims who were robbled at gun point and the crooks were on bikes. The crime spree accured one hour from the other less than a mile from each other. The victims were robbed then shot at close range. One of the victims died. No one has been caught.
