Hi
I am looking on ebay for a trailer. I am expecting to buy a child trailer and then use it for both child (rarely) and haiuling bits to my allotment.
I havnt got the time to make one, and I want it this week as I have sold my car.
Are all the shop bought trailers mostly the same?

No, the trailers here State's Side are not all the same.
Burley was the company that first received widespread distribution, and many other companies followed, but with lesser build quality and cheaper prices. I suspect the key details to look into are the hitch mechanism, the wheels, the general design ease. Also, consider expandablilty. Some people like the trailer to double as a jogger (or walk behind). Burley seems to have set a standard with these points. All this said, It's been about 8 years since I've been in the market.
Best of luck

Thanks, I have noticed that some double as push chairs, but my use would be either trailer of child trailer. Price is my main factor at the moment.
But some new ones can be bought on ebay fo £80, secondhand are £35+.

Amazon USA has a cargo trailer for under $100, and it carries 180 pounds. Best deal I've heard of, though I do not know how well it holds up.
5 Stars by Amazon purchasers.

These are a really good value in my opinion. I used to sell them, and I still have the cargo trailer and the 2 kid trailer. Not a thing wrong with either one in my opinion.

Noted: Chariot child trailers , http://www.chariotcarriers.com/, share the hitch type with Carry Freedom trailers , their basic Y trailer has a plywood load platform.
Its a Ball and socket affair lollypop of elastomer and the pin closes the front of the socket .
I got a Carry Freedom City trailer , but its a Bag carrying trailer not a Kid trailer , I got it ... trailer not kid,
because it folds within it perimeter frame to be flat .
I tow it with my Brompton ..
