helping another friend shop (i have a penchant for this) and i'm wondering what is the difference in quality between a '00 Bianchi Veloce and a '03 Veloce in terms of just the frame itself. like for instance i remember ppl talking about "air hardened" tubing and how it was thinner walled and stronger and a more recent development, but i don't know how different the frame of that particular bike is from '00 to '03.
shopping used like this presents all sorts of challenges, but i'm trying to help her understand what advantages she's getting as the prices go up so we can zero in on a good value that she's comfortable with.
(please spare me any OT comments about fit or LBS expertise also. we're visiting several local places to test ride and she's looking at her options for buying new in-store as well, but i'd rather not pick their brains about bikes they don't sell.)
