Ok i just bought myself an stp2. I intend to put avid cps disks on this week. What do you guys think about that choice in brakes? My next upgrade would be the fork. That will come in a few months when i get the cash. I am open to suggestions, though right now i am leaning towards a sherman flick. I just wanted to know what the "experts" thought.

What happened to your Costco bike? j/k
The Avid's are a good choice, make sure your break in the brake pads as instructed to get proper performance.
As far as the fork, I've not tried the Flick yet, but I'm partial to Marzocchi products.

The Sherman Firefly might be more suitable. If I remember the flick has a 1.5 steerer.
I thought that the Flick had a standard steerer tube, and it was the Breakout and Breakout plus that had the 1.5 steerer and some of the other Shermans had the option for a 1.5 steerer.

Sherman: Jumper, Firefly and Flick have 1 1/8 in steerer tubes. The Sherman: Breakout and Breakout plus have 1.5 inch steerer tubes. Slider Plus has 1 1/8 in.
That is straight off the Manitou website.
