bait & switch
i've heard att upped their termination fee to $400, imagine that?

Yea they did. I read it's because people were buying their smartphones at greatly subsidized cost, then terminating their contract and selling the phone for profit. Figure a new phone can easily go for 300 dollars and the termination fee was just over 1/2 that.

seriously I hate it when ISP or anything like that kills the ''unlimited'' option. It's like internet is now considered the same as fuel. you can get low on internet. F.That.

From what I've seen, they're only eliminating it for new customers; and it's not just for the i-Things, either. It's for all smartphones and data devices, but if you have a current unlimited data plan you can keep it. Upgrading your phone doesn't count as a new contract, so you can still keep it if you get a new phone.
I'm keeping my unlimited data plan, and I'm holding out for the Windows Phone at the end of the year before upgrading.
