Mike Vandeman was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon (http://www.cyclelicio.us/2010/mike-vandeman-arrested-for-assault-with-deadly-weapon) after he was identified by a pair of mountain bikers who were assaulted by him on a trail on the Berkeley campus.
MV has been banned from the campus for 7 days. His arraignment for the assault is this afternoon in Oakland. Lots of discussion at mtbr.com on this.
