I use a Fenix LD20 as a helmet light; it cost about $60. It runs on rechargeable AA batteries and puts out 180 lumens on high, although I usually run it on the 105 lumens or less. I also have a Magicshine LED light on my handlebars, but they can be mounted on helmets as well. It is much brighter than the Fenix but also heavier and bulkier. It cost about $80.

I have a Princton Tec Eos helmet light that Ive been very happy with and its in that price range. Having said that I'd like to try the Fenix, but I haven't found them in any hardware store in my area. Are there any shops that actually stock them or do you have to buy the fenix light through the internet?

Thanks. Got a lot of decent reviews. I ordered.
I've got a 359 lumen Micro helmet light running a Cree XP-G that I'd let go for $150. I know it's outta the budget, but it's smaller, lighter, and brighter than the Fenix.
Comes w/ a rechargeable LiIon pack and charger. (gets at least 1.5hrs + (maybe 2...never ran it that long because I just finished it)
Food for thought anyhoo.
