When I purchased my bike, I requested that the stock tire (Vittoria Zaffiro) be replaced with Continental Gatorskins. The LBS did that replacement for me.
I notice that the tire has the following mark on it: Continental Gatorskin Poly X Breaker. There is no size designation and no PSI recommendation.
I've searched the web and cannot find this tire. I see Ultra Gatorskin, Gator hardshell, Sprinter Gatorskin, etc. But no plain Gatorskin. The tire tread on my tire and the yellow crosshatch on the sidewall look the same as the Ultra Gatorskin, but the Ultra is missing.
Since there is no PSI marking, I'm not sure what the correct tire pressure should be. And, since I can't find the exact match on the web, I'm not sure if the Ultra Gatorskin PSI recommendation applies to this tire.
Please let me know the recommended and max PSI for this tire if you know or have one. My tire is a 700x28c. My bike is a Felt Speed 30.
Thanks!
