What is a OCLV VC seat stay? What's VC?

It's an acronym for Trek's latest proprietary carbon combosite blend. VC = "very cool". Or was it "votsa cash"?

Both seem appropriate.

i was looking in a 2005 catalog at my lbs, and it said the vc stood for vibration control. the way it was explained to me was that it is a special plastic-like material that is layered between the layers of carbon. It's supposed to damp vibrations and smooth out the ride kinda like Specialized's polyurathene inserts. It's the some basic idea as the specialized roubaix, just executed in a slightly different way

Luckily it is not Volatile Compound.
