I just stumbled upon this forum, actually quite by accident. I've been biking since the 70's and my girlfriend and I have been biking a lot in the past 4 or 5 years.
This year, we're doing our first tour, but still deciding where. We spend a lot of time on the rails-to-trails system in western Pennsylvania, and will be doing overnights this year on the trail.
My main bike is an old Volkscycle road bike (1975 version) that I've converted to more of a hybrid with upright bars, a rack, and panniers. I also have an old Nashbar mountain bike. My girfriend had an old Schwinn roadbike that I restored until yesterday...I bought her a new Trek #7100 hybrid. A new bike...wow that's novel for me!
