Totally, hombres are pretty cool too, thats what I have.
if you're buying brakes you may as well get some evolvers, they're about as good as they get!

Evolvers or 990's - Take your pick. I run both on my bike. 990's up front, Evolvers in the rear. They work about the same. I think 990's are a little more durable and if you do flatland and kick your front wheel then you will kick the front brakes, so 990's may last longer... MAY.
Evolvers in the back for sure, they are a little stiffer which makes them work better.

u know wat, i think u named it freecoaster because freecoaster is probly more interesting than brakes............nice
I don't like dia compe 990's because of the fact that they still utilize canti-style pads, instead of the simple threaded pads that hombres, evolvers, fly, and revenge brakes use. i've had nothing but good luck with Hombre's and the price is a little lower on them as well.

I used to hate hate hate adjusting those pads and I had to rig one before and it was so ghetto and made matters worse. I love the threaded ones.
