Should I get a 4x9 or 4x11 U lock for this bike if I wanna lock both the frame and one tire?

I've got a "kryptoflex" lock, which is long enough to lock the frame & both tires to a lamppost, yet is still small and light enough to carry around.
Why do you specifically need a "U-lock"?

I think U lock provides more security compare to cable lock. I am thinking about about getting this.

That's a PRETTY GOOD PRICE for that lock (which is also pretty nice), and even comes with free shipping - snatch it up while it's still available.....

i also want to buy a bicycle lock. i think we use u lock to lock back wheel. but i couldn't understand the flex cable. how is it used? and my other problem is how to carry bike lock? my bicycle doesn't have a frame. should i consider buying a frame? i saw a combination of frame and bike lock on the net. but can't remember its adress..

sorry i recognised my mistake after your post. :) i mean

my bicycle doesn't have a back rack. should i consider buying a rack? i saw a combination of back rack and bike lock on the net.

and i realized how to use the flex cable with u lock after watching a few videos on youtube.

if i buy this back rack:

should i carry this bicycle lock with me comfortably. and is this lock suitable for my bike. i have trek 7.3 fx 20" size.

The lock I told you about before, being "kryptoflex", has a clamp that attaches to your frame to carry it around with.
That way you keep room on your rack for pannier bags to carry around food or such things.
But if you want to carry your lock on your rack that is an option ofcourse.

The lock you speak of also has a bracket to hang it on your frame btw

may you put a link of the lock which you speak of. i mean there are a lot of kryptoflex locks and for me they look like each other ;)

i recognised that it has a bracket after you mentioned. but i can't imagine such a big thing on the frame :) may be because i don't know how to mount it on the frame or i didn't see the mounted shape. i have a temporary cable lock. i wrap it round the frame. as it stands it looks too weird to me

This-one: http://www.mymemory.co.uk/Locks/Kryptonite/Kryptonite-Kryptoflex-Combination-Cable-Lock-With-Bracket-(12mm-x-180cm)
The bracket works like a bracket on a rear light ... you can mount it on your frame or on your seatpost and let the lock reside under your saddle.
