Hello everyone, it has been awhile since I posted. Had my first group ride last night. I am 365 pounds
and ride a newer HardRock with Slicks on it for the road. I also use Shimano SPD clipless pedals which I had not used since last year but thought I would on this ride (HA, GOOD IDEA) Only fell a few times at stop signs. Anyway, the ride is advertised as rolling terrain. 10.5 miles. Well I did it and lived. I was so excited when I got finished. I know it doesnt sound like much but it was the most climbing I had done in one ride so far. Hard to stand up and pedal when that suspension fork is moving. I am not too sore today except for my rearend (will be going to try out new seats next week at the LBS.) I am thouroghly addicted now.
Daniel
P.S. Is the consensus on these pedals are that they suck? They are the, I think $60 ones? It was increasingly harder to clip in as the ride went, clipping out was a crapshoot.
