Hi,

I'm planning to use a front derailleur set up of Sora triple/Sugino XD600 triple and in the rear Deore LX with a cassette of 11-34T. Dura Ace 8 speed shifters. Are there any compatibility issues? Any opinions? This is my first experience with derailleurs so any input would help.

Whih Dura Ace 8 speed shifters? I'm not sure about bar end/downtube shifters from that era, but Dura Ace 8 speed integrated shifters used a special cable pull for the rear derailler and thus those components (shifters and deraillers) are not compatible with other Shimano road components.

However, any other Shimano 8 speed road shifters will work fine with your proposed set up. Also, if you wanted bar end shifters, these would do the trick for sure: http://www.universalcycles.com/shopping/product_details.php?id=11151&category=583
