Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Leader 722TS, whats the word.

oh oh, i said Leader :p Really though, this frame looks super sweet. Its has a lot of what makes me like the kilo tt in it. Only issue I have with Leader, though, is that no fork is included... Anyway, just wondering what people thought of this frame. It is in my line up for a project bike for the summer.

Leader 722TS - seems to be a happy medium of the 2.

My friend had the Leader. It rode pretty nice, but with the steel fork Leader offers it looks kind of awkward with a gaping hole between the down tube and wheel. The hydroformed steel frame was pretty cool though, and fairly light. The geometry seems kinda weird too. He had a 55.

I own a Kilo tt, and I absolutely adore it. It was a little heavier than the leader but it always felt better riding because it soaked up bumps better.
Now that I think about it the geo on the Kilo is similar to the Leader. So I guess between the two it depends whether you like the more old old school design, more colors, and 1 inch headtube on the the Kilo TT or the more advanced looking Leader.

The big thing that attracts me to the kilo tt is the price and the down tube. I have a soft spot for a non round tubes. I ride aluminum right now and have gotten used to most of the "harshness" of the ride. I Love my aluminum bike but want a steel frame once more to bust around the city more again, as my aluminum bike is for the track. The leader has the tubing I want for sure, though, less gloss on the raw would have been nicer...

Does the Kilo TT have a "non-round" (oval) down tube? Based on the BD specs, I thought it was just the top tube that is "ovalized" near the seat tube. Just asking cuz I don't own one.

The weirdest part is the sizing. It seems very strange to offer 525-530-535 top tubes and then jump 545-570-595 on the big end. I think it would make much more sense to offer more closely spaced sizes in the seemingly more common size range, or to spread them evenly.

Yes,the down tube of the Kilo is aero/oval. At least it is on mine.

it's teardrop shaped near the headtube.

and it has always been. it's actually extremely cool when you first see and feel it.
