so i have a 97ish trek 8000 im using v brakes on the rear and even with a brake booster on i get a lot of flex im thinkin this is pretty normal for these frames with the rivited stay brace and all just wondering if any one else has experienced this

I wouldn't worry about it as long as you are getting adequate braking performance. You've got a disc in the front (front brakes are stronger than rears anyway) and with the booster on the back you should be covered pretty well.

thats what i was thinking i just didnt know if maybe too much meant the frame was kaput, with out the booster i can sqeeze the lever all the way in no matter how much i bring the cable in on the brakes, but with it the brakes work well i wouldnt say great but yeah i gots the disc up front so its not an issue, mostly just curious to if this was pretty normal on these frames
