Anyone have any advice on a good, successful cable routing strategy for routing brake cable housings with aero brake levers?
I'm trying to visualize it with my 1989 Schwinn World Sport, but I can't see a good way of doing it without having a lot of bend and extra possible friction.
Especially for the front brake. Considering the cable is coming out of the bottom of the brake lever, it would have to make a pretty quick bend back up and then down again to get it secured to the front caliper brake.
If anyone's done these before, help me out!

With modern lined brake cable housing bend radii can be considerably tighter than if using older unlined housing w/o getting excessive drag. Standard routing is along the inside curve of drop bars , exiting from under the bar tape near the stem. Most modern bars have a depressed area for routing the brake cable, and sometimes the shifter cable, in that area.
Any good modern road bike manual, or the Park Tools web site, should show this.

You're using the aero levers with drop bars, right? The cable routing on aero levers is intended to work best when used on the forward bend of drop bars. When used this way the housing comes out on the upper side of the mounting base where it sits against the bars so it can be wrapped neatly against the bars under the bar tape. So I'm not picturing what the issue is unless you're trying to use the aero levers in a way or with bars that were not originally intended.
