Hi all.

I will not bother you with my real name, because it is long and unpronounceable.
I am originally from Kiev, Ukraine, but moved to USA about ten years ago.

I like to run and getting ready for my first marathon this october. Also I like to swim.
I work at a help desk. Photography is my other passion.

I always wanted to ride, but had wrong idea about bikes. I thought $50 could buy a good bike.

Yesterday I bought my first "real" road bike. It is older road schwinn with alloy wheels. I paid $300 for it and still don't know was it a good deal or not.

Immediately I put it to a test and rode 10 miles in about 40 min. My mouth was dry from the air getting into it, and I realized I should have an iron b..t. Other than that, it was a pleasant experience, and I would like to ride for 100 miles this summer.

Do you think this is achievable?

Of course. It takes a little while to build up to riding 100 miles in one go, but its definitely achievable. Have fun riding man :thumb:
