i just took a shimano cassette off of my ksyrium wheel and the o-ring (if it's the big saucer thing you're talking about) goes closest to the wheel (cone facing left, i think) and then the washer goes next to that, then start with your big gears in the cassette.

anyone know if you have to use these washers if i put the cassette on the powertab hub wheel i just got? if i don't use the washer the cogs are loose, even when the lock ring is all the way tight. and if i try to use it, i can't fit the last gear on.

ideas?
