Well somehow I bent my right crank arm on my bike. Its not bent far enough to hit anything but it is very close.

What should I do? Just leave it or what?

first of all, make sure its actually bent.

its bent.
compared it to my other crank. I could fit my finger inbeteen the crank and frame and I couldn't do it on bent crank.

I also compared it to my freinds who has the same crank assembly and also compared to to a new crank.

I'd be leary of continuing to use it. If it's bent much it may not be far from breaking. You can find some good deals on cranks at Pricepoint. Good Luck, DG

The pedal axle is now off the horizontal, so will wag up and down. This is really bad for your knee. The bent metal is also severely weakened. Replace. Now.

even with the crank bent inwards the pedal axle is off?

Im currently looking at some shamano ones. I can pick up an xtr for 200USD.

but before I get a new crank I need to convince my parents. They wont let me spend my money I made from working, on a new crank.
They say that because they think I dont need one and they think my bike is top-off the line, nothing can go wroung with it, etc and will only let me to get the stuff with my money if I come a pro xc biking-but im only 15 and living in a hick town and the closet race is a 2hour drive.

If I have time I will post some pics from where rocks have bashed off of it.

Tell your parents that your cranks are now an injury hazard....If you haven't tried that already. The Truvativ Firex SL is only 60USD right now. Or the 2000 Race Face Turbine LP DH for 100USD. If you're doing the freeride/urban riding stuff I'd say get Race Face.

I was thinking about a race face crank.

What about the RACEFACE PRODIGY DH CRANKSET (120USD) with 22/32/44t and also get a raceface bash Ring for urban.

If your wondering why not just get the 22/32/bash ring.- Most of good trails around my town I have to bike to(which are about 3-5km) and using the large ring just gets me there alot faster.

that just bent it more. I think I first bent it last year when I crash and the crank landed on a rock or something.

If that's the kind of riding you are doing then I would save up for some cromo (BMX-style) MTB cranks.

They start at $250 CDN new.

The Race Face Turbine LP DH have a major flaw with the angle of the hole for the BB which is why they are no longer made.

The XTR DH and the RF Northshores will do the job but they cost way too much IMO.

The RF Prodigies and the Truvative Hussefelts will do fine for a while but if you really are doing 8 ft+ drops then you should really consider moving to steel before you break something.

Airbomb has a Canadian mail order site with some of the stuff you are looking at (though their prices are a little steep):

Maybe you could convince your parents that you need stronger cranks by riding off your roof while they watch!

I wont be biking off any roofs any time soon. or unless I find an easy one to get onto(dont need a ladder for)

Larges drops I plan to do regularly are 6 feet and less.

Better make sure that the BB spindle isn't bent, too!
$200 for a crankset??? I can get a racing-ready Dura-Ace road crankset for less than that!! Where are you getting these prices from? Have you checked Nashbar.com yet? You can certainly get a crank for about 1/3 that price. If you are going to be beating it to death like you are doing, then yes, it is silly to spend $200 on good components. If you want to do 6' jumps, then buy some $10 lead-sled at the salvation army store rather than trashing your good bike.
