The wife and I are heading to Grand Rapids, Michigan for some riding during my July 4th shutdown at work. Any ideas for good rides? We like to keep it in the 40 - 50 mile range. Anyone know of any organized rides that weekend in the area?

The Michigan Department of Transportation has a series of pretty useful bicycle maps, but I don't think they have the Grand Rapids one available yet:

There are several nice Rail to Trails in the Grand Rapids area. Search http://www.railstotrails.org or other sources to find them. Last fall we took our tandem wheels to Velocity USA in Grand Rapids to be rebuilt and rode two of the trails while the wheels were being rebuilt.
