Mountain Biking - Bought a 2003 model Norco Fluid 3.0 for $1600 AU, was this a good price?

Hi, i recently bought a Norco 2003 model Fluid 3.0, I didnt realise this was a 2003 bike. It was $1600 Australian Dollars. Now i dont know whether this is a bargain or not and want to put my mind at ease.
I am not sure how much the bike has changed from the 2003 to 2004 model as well, like the shimano componentry (Deore) and also frame design and the parts that come with the bike. Being a 2003 model it is almost 2 years old, so i am not sure what kind of price should be asked for this bike.
2003 Norco Fluid 3.0 Specs (http://www.norco.com/bikes/2003bikes/fluid3.htm)
2004 Norco Fluid 3.0 Specs (http://www.norco.com/bikes/2004bikes/fluid3.htm)
The bike also came with Hayes 8" disks (not the 6" disks specced for the bike), how much better is the 8" disk compared to the 6" or is it worse? Would the value of the disk make up for the fact that the bike is a 2003 model?
Thankyou for your help, I know i am ******** for not really researching the bike.

I woud have defiently gone with the 2004 over the 2003. Hydros were an upgrade.
I also have a 2003 Norco Fluid and so does Rasheed. We were able to get the bikes at a blowout price of $1000 CAD. I am not sure how much Austrialian dollars are worth. I will convert the money and find out for you.

The price came out to around 1400CAD. That price is not too bad. THe retail on it is almost 1600CAD I believe. So I would say that you piad normal price for it seeing that it is a 2003 model.

They also chucked in a helmet and pump other tools and stuff, and also chucked in clipon bar ends... comes to about $200AU which is about $180CAD.

i am envious. Didn't think you could get a good FS bike for AUD$1600, I should've expanded my budget before buying my bike. :)

Sounds nice. What kind of helmet? Full face? I just love full face because they look kool and they feel kool but they sorta kill your peripherial vision, IMHO.

Shouldn't this have been asked before purchasing.
