I put a carbon fiber bar on the ritchey wcs, what a differance. It is so much lighter and soaks up alot of the vibrations from the aluminum forks. I was thinking about putting a carbon fiber seat post also. any thoughts? The crank and the rims are also really heavy has anyone ever changed those on a badboy?

Yes more speed would be nice, I was thinking about putting a Duraace crank and rear derailer. Then using the
XTR dual countrols with XTR linear pull brakes. I have also been looking at chris king road wheels with mavic
open pro hoops. Any thought on mixing dura ace with xtr, or should i go straight XTR? The bike now as it stands is heavier then my full suspension bike.

I dont tend to see the very cool bad-boy discussed much here, check out the folks at 'forums.mtbr.com' go to the manufacturers section and look for the 'cannondale' thread... Unless someone swoops in and comes to the rescue here and has sage wisdom to pass along to you.

The Bad Boy was designed to be a tough, city errand bike. To handle potholes, curbs, dodging through traffic, with reasonable speed.
It really isn't a speed bike in terms of riding distances with road bikes. You could drop a lot of money on it and still have a hard time trying to stay up with a $700 road bike. Not only due to it weighing more, but the aerodynamics aren't as good.
