I have some of these stainless clips that mount with the bottom rack dropout mounting bolt and I like them for hooking the ring on the pannier mounting spring/shock cord. I think I originally got these with Cannondale bags but can't seem to find any more. I cleaned my LBS out of his last pair.

Does anyone know of an online source? They work better than trying to twist the spring to catch the tab on the rack.

I've been in your boots before - I just got some random thing at a hardware store, just go walk up and down the fasteners aisle, you'll find something.

Check out a good hardware store and ask for a "Tag washer" - I bet you could find one that has appropriately sized holes that you can use.

Yes, these were Cannondale exclusives. I used to just call the Cannondale 800 number and they'd send me a few pairs, alas not any more. I wonder if someone could machine some..

I fabricate them from 75-100# picture hanging hooks
