My bike is making a ticking noise every time I turn the pedals. The crank arms seem to be tight. It makes noise when I'm sitting, or standing. I have a ride planned for tomorrow, and my lbs is closed for the tour de cure. I am wondering if I should ride tomorrow, or cancel?

Remove the end cap on the pedal and add some grease.
Make sure the cap is put back on correctly.

The pedals are ok. I held the rear wheel off the ground and turned the crank arm without using the pedals. It still makes a slight clunking noise. I'm thinking a bottom bracket problem.

First you said a click, then a clunk. You have given us absolutely no information about your bike, how long ago it had service, what equipment is on it, which makes assisting you very difficult. That being said, from your 2nd post I would say that either the left (adjustable) or right (fixed) cup is loose, or your bearing is out of adjustment.
1. Put the crank arms vertical, grab both and move them left and right (across the bike, not in the normal pedaling direction).
2. Stand over the bike and put your weight on one pedal, rotate the cranks till the other pedal is down and repeat.
1. If you feel play with your hands then the bearing is out of adjustment
2. If you feel shifting or hear a clunk when using your feet, then one of the cups is loose.
(both may be true)
Riding the bike one day if only the 1st is a problem may not hurt, but no guarantees.
If the 2nd procedure indicates a loose cup absolutely do not ride. You could be stranded or cause damage to the threads or bottom bracket parts.
Its advisable to make sure that your bike have no tickling sounds since they may be sings of broken prts and should be fixed immediately. Also make sure you have greased the chain to allow easy ride all way.
