Road Cycling - Beer Bottle?

Anybody get hit with a beer bottle lately?? Happened to me, nailed me in the leg and kept going..3 jerks with no life!! Sometimes you want to explode but with 3 to 1 the odds are against you, and just imagine trying to fight wearing cycling shoes lol...

not lately - but i got hit with a bud light bottle a few years back. it hit me on the hand and really hurt. didn't break though. i wouldn't have been able to catch up with the people, but believe me, i had plenty of revenge fantasies after that.

one time i got a beer bottle thrown at me, and i caught it!! threw it back at the car resulting in a direct hit! needless to say i quickly exited the road i was traveling on, and got the eff outta there!

somehow, it managed to hit me squarely between my sunglasses and helmet...all swollen but the swelling's gone down since this morning. just tons of pain.

Years ago I was hit in the back with a full can of beer thrown from a moving vehicle.There was nothing I could do but try to keep from crashing into traffic as these losers passed and screamed "F$%& YOU!".
It drew blood on my back and I had a bruise for a while.

What a terrible waste of good beer.

No beer bottles, but riding to work I've had people lean out of there cars- look straight at me and yell "F--- YOU!" and point at me.

Talking to other friends of mine that ride, they've had it happen to them too.

Perhaps being in a car you feel safer to put down other people?

Holy crap! I hope that never happens to me...that is the most pathetic thing I've ever heard....sad.

I was riding with a friend, who was slightly ahead of me when a car full of S*it birds went by. They threw a can of soda at him and missed. He didn't notice.

I became completely enraged. I sped up and followed the idiots down the road and into the driveway they pulled into. They saw me coming and all ran into the house. I banged on the door non-stop until a girl came out. I told her to have the one that threw the can come out or I was calling the cops.

He came out. He was 18. We spoke. He now knows what he did was wrong. I doubt he will ever do it again. I rode on.

I have been hit by plastic cups and spit. Never beer bottles.

Many here hit on bike shorts...A regular cyclist's wife for once was riding with us..She wore baggies..A bee flew up the opeining of her baggies..Stung her on her bottom..Less likely would have happened with regular bike shorts.

Here is a good fantasy.....you catch the person just as they stop and get out of the car. Jump onto their hood and proceed to show them the "can opener" dance with your multi-purpose cleats.
