Saw this bike on CL for $175. Seller says it's hardly been ridden.
What do you think - good deal?

Make sure it's the right size for you (i.e. is comfortable when you ride it in all conditions) and that it's in good working mechanical shape. Otherwise, looks good to me. Here's info. about this model on bikepedia: http://www.bikepedia.com/QuickBike/BikeSpecs.aspx?Year=2001&Brand=Trek&Model=8000&Type=bike. It retailed for for over a grand and came with RS Judy fork (def. better than the Dart level), so I'd say it's a good deal.
Quick question for those that have dealt with older forks: is it difficult to find parts (seals, etc.) for older forks like the Judy?
EDIT: I take back what I said about the Judy. After looking around some more, it looks like the Judy is about the same level as the Dart, just older.

I get the Reba & Judy mixed up sometimes, but yeah the Judy is the older (& much flimsier, from what I've read) version of the Dart. Dart 2 is a solid fork for the price.
